Through 3R program, Danamon Peduli aims to be the first private sector assisting victims of natural disasters in surrounding areas. With more than 1.000 networks of Danamon branches and offices and more than 30.000 employees as volunteers, quick relief can be provided in areas damage by disasters. Danamon Peduli attempts to support, develop and recover the livelihood of the victims of natural disaster both in local and national scale.
- To provide emergency supports as soon as the disaster occurs in communities surrounding Danamon branches all over Indonesia
- To build public facilities to recover the livelihood of the victims.
- To manage donations from customers and society through Danamon Peduli Funds, and to develop sustainable, community-driven programs for funds utilization when a disaster of national-scale such as Tsunami in Aceh/Nias or Earthquake in Yogyakarta and Central Java occurs.
Strive to be the First in Assisting Victims When Disasters Occur
Indonesia is surrounded by Eurasia, Indo-Australia, and Pacific plate, and also located in the Pacific Ring of Fire. This make several provinces in Indonesia vulnerable of various natural disasters, particularly earthquake, tsunami, flood, and volcano eruptions.
Danamon Peduli Foundation, through its 3R (Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction) program, assists disasters victims at local and national scales. Bank Danamon network in over 1.400 branches with more than 40.000 employees in 33 provinces are very close to disaster areas. Danamon Peduli Foundation strives to be the first private sector company assisting disasters victims in surrounding areas. The Foundation develops simple mechanism for quick relief approval. Danamon branches all over the country can get approval for disaster funds from Danamon Peduli through text message system which enables them to act very quickly when disaster occurs.
During 2008, Danamon Peduli Foundation assisted more than 17.000 victims of 37 incidents of disasters in North Sumatra, Jakarta, West Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, and West Papua. These activities engaged 575 Danamon employees with total donations of of Rp. 307.572.726,-.
